What people use it for
- Prospecting. Find advisers whose AUM, client mix, or custodian changed in the last quarter.
- Diligence. Read the full disclosure history of a manager as it was known at any point, not as it reads today.
- Research. Track the growth of private fund advisers by strategy, with no survivorship bias, because de-registered firms stay in the history.
Known limits
- State-registered adviser data is complete from 2015. Before that, coverage depends on the state.
- Item 5.F regulatory AUM is as reported by the adviser. We normalize the field. We do not verify the figure.
- Part 2 brochures are indexed and linked, but not yet extracted into fields. Planned for Q1 2027.
